Welcome to the Hatch House Montessori School website which will continue to grow as does our school. HHMS currently offers Montessori education to children from 12 months to nine years of age.

It is our desire that your child should have the opportunity to learn in an environment where they are free to develop at their own pace with respect for each other and to acquire a true love of learning.

In the Montessori environment of our school,children are given the opportunity to care for themselves, each other, and the environment. Hatch House Montessori school prides itself on stirving everyday to offer the highest standards in education second to none in the Durham Region.

At Hatch House Montessori School, our Mission is to continually improve our facilities, to build and promote ourselves as a multi-cultural school and to further develop and implement progressive programs for the benefit of all children. We believe in the ongoing growth and support of our students in a nurturing, caring environment, where students are inspired toward a lifelong love of learning.

Our School is located in a historic mansion in the heart of downtown Whitby. HHMS offers a unique, warm and cozy setting where every child is allowed the freedom to develop a love of learning. The historic setting of HHMS features an environment full of natural wood, and beautiful stained glass windows.
